https://syaikhuna.iaisyaichona.ac.id/index.php/syaikhuna/article/view/7788

This study explores the implementation of the joyful learning model to improve the quality of Qur’an and Hadith instruction at MAN Kotawaringin Timur, a senior Islamic high school in Central Kalimantan, Indonesia. A mixed-methods design was employed, combining qualitative approaches—classroom observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation analysis—with quantitative student surveys and formative assessments. The findings reveal that joyful learning effectively increased student engagement and motivation. More than 90% of students agreed that game-based and collaborative activities made it easier to understand the material, while teachers observed higher participation and enthusiasm throughout the lessons. The average formative test score reached 84 out of 100, reflecting solid comprehension and active involvement. These results indicate that joyful learning fosters a dynamic, participatory, and meaningful classroom atmosphere that supports deeper understanding of Qur’an and Hadith lessons. The study concludes that joyful learning is a promising pedagogical approach for enhancing engagement, motivation, and learning outcomes in Islamic religious education at the Madrasah Aliyah level.
Saiful LutfiSardimi SardimiSiti Norhidayah

https://syaikhuna.iaisyaichona.ac.id/index.php/syaikhuna/article/view/7837

This study employed a qualitative descriptive design to analyze the implementation of the Deep Approach to Learning in Islamic Education at State Senior High School 1 Palangka Raya under the Merdeka Curriculum. Data were collected through classroom observations, in-depth interviews, and document analysis involving Islamic Education teachers, the principal, the Vice Principal of Academic Affairs, and Grade 10 students. The findings reveal that the Deep Approach to Learning was implemented through three stages: planning, instructional implementation, and evaluation, which emphasize meaningful, mindful, and joyful learning principles. This study contributes novel insights by demonstrating that the Deep Approach to Learning not only enhances students’ conceptual understanding but also strengthens the internalization of religious values through reflective activities, socially contextualized projects, and spiritual integration in classroom practices. Furthermore, the study identifies institutional support and teacher readiness as critical success factors, while uneven student participation and limited conceptual understanding among teachers remain key challenges. These findings extend existing literature by highlighting the pedagogical, spiritual, and character dimensions of the Deep Approach to Learning in Islamic Education.
Delsia PebriantiSulistyowati SulistyowatiNurul Hikmah

https://syaikhuna.iaisyaichona.ac.id/index.php/syaikhuna/article/view/7793

Ethics and morality are central to Islamic education in shaping youth character and spirituality. In the digital era, when media strongly influences adolescents’ values and behavior, film can become an effective medium for contextual Islamic teaching. This study analyzes the representation of Islamic values in *Santri Pilihan Bunda* through symbols, narrative structure, and character development, while offering a different focus from Harahap (2025), which examines children’s animated films with explicit religious symbols. Unlike that study, this research explores a youth-oriented digital series and how Islamic values are negotiated within modern popular culture. Using a qualitative semiotic approach, the study examines scenes, dialogues, and visual signs through repeated viewing and interpretation. The findings show that the film represents key Islamic values, including parental responsibility, the sanctity of relationships through *ta’aruf*, respect for parents, sincerity, patience, and the spirit of *hijrah* (self-improvement). The film also constructs these values as a counter-narrative to permissive culture by framing app-based dating and social-media virality as signs of moral crisis, then presenting *ta’aruf*, family authority, the pesantren environment, and religious rituals as symbols of moral restoration. Thus, *Santri Pilihan Bunda* functions not only as entertainment, but also as a medium of *da‘wah* and character education for Muslim youth in the digital age.
Ahmad ZubaidiJufaka Ratu Anggita

https://syaikhuna.iaisyaichona.ac.id/index.php/syaikhuna/article/view/7857

The current era of digital disruption has triggered a significant transformation in the Islamic Religious Education (PAI) system, particularly driven by the Independent Curriculum (Kurikulum Merdeka) which requires adaptive pedagogical innovation. This study aims to synthesize the evolutionary trends of digital learning in PAI, evaluate the effectiveness of various digital tools, and analyze the integration of blended learning models during the 2021–2026 period. Using a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach based on the PRISMA protocol, this study examined 18 selected scientific articles from an initial pool of 840 publications identified through Google Scholar and Crossref databases. The findings reveal a growing shift toward the concept of Islamic Digital Pedagogy, where the Blended Project-Based Learning (Blended-PjBL) model emerges as one of the most effective pedagogical instruments. This model enables the integration of asynchronous digital learning with collaborative real-world projects, allowing students not only to understand theoretical concepts but also to internalize Islamic values through practical social engagement that supports the Pancasila Student Profile (P5). Furthermore, the use of digital platforms such as Wordwall, Quizizz, Canva, and CapCut enhances student engagement and encourages learners to become active producers of digital learning content. Despite these opportunities, the transformation of digital learning in PAI also faces several challenges, including disparities in teachers’ digital literacy and ethical concerns related to the use of Artificial Intelligence in learning environments. In this context, the concept of fiqh al-muamalah al-raqmiyyah is proposed as an ethical framework to guide responsible digital interaction and ensure that technological innovation remains aligned with Islamic moral values. The findings of this study highlight the practical importance of integrating pedagogical innovation, digital literacy, and ethical guidance in shaping the future of Islamic education in the Society 5.0 era.
Akyunil UmmahTri Wahyudi RamdhanMufaizin Mufaizin

https://syaikhuna.iaisyaichona.ac.id/index.php/syaikhuna/article/view/7861

The acceleration of financial digitalization in Indonesia has positioned Islamic fintech as a crucial pillar within the banking ecosystem through linkage and channeling models. This study aims to map literature characteristics, analyze growth trends, dissect thematic contract transformations, and formulate strengthening strategies for Indonesia’s Islamic fintech-banking landscape. Utilizing a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) with the PRISMA protocol, 20 core articles were meticulously curated from 420 references spanning 2020–2025. Findings indicate a dominance of qualitative methods (60%), with an exponential surge in publications during 2024–2025 driven by post-pandemic regulatory shifts. Thematic synthesis reveals a significant transition from simple Murabahah contracts toward complex schemes such as Salam, Musyarakah, and Hybrid Contracts (al-uqud al-murakkabah). Nevertheless, a critical regulatory gap persists between DSN-MUI Fatwa No. 117/2018 and technical policies regarding digital risk mitigation. This study recommends harmonizing Lex Specialis laws, implementing Regulatory Technology (RegTech) for automated smart contract-based sharia audits, and optimizing the synergy of Islamic social funds (Ziswaf). These strategies aim to achieve financial inclusion aligned with Maqashid Sharia principles. Ultimately, the developed framework serves as a strategic blueprint for Muslim-majority countries to accelerate sharia-compliant digital financial integration globally.
Lailatul MubarokahImamul MuttaqinAch. https://syaikhuna.iaisyaichona.ac.id/index.php/syaikhuna/article/view/7819

Speaking skills (Maharah al-Kalam) are a vital component in foreign language acquisition; however, they are often hindered by psychological factors, particularly Foreign Language Anxiety (FLA). This study aims to investigate the level of Arabic language anxiety among students of Universitas Darussalam Gontor, with a focus on the influence of interlocutor hierarchy: lecturers, seniors, and peers. This research employs a descriptive quantitative design involving 77 students of the Arabic Language Education Program as respondents, using a questionnaire as the research instrument. The findings indicate that students generally experience high levels of anxiety across all interaction contexts, with a clear hierarchical pattern. Interaction with lecturers triggers the highest level of anxiety (Mean: 13.21), influenced by fear of academic evaluation. Interaction with seniors ranks second (Mean: 13.10), psychologically influenced by the internalization of the cultural value of ta’zhim, which refers to deep respect for seniors/teachers and may create pressure to perform perfectly as well as fear of making mistakes. Meanwhile, interaction with peers shows the lowest level of anxiety (Mean: 12.74), although it still falls within the high category due to social pressure and concerns about negative judgment, such as being labeled “showing off” or “acting smart.” This study concludes that Arabic language anxiety in the pesantren context is not only derived from individual factors but is also significantly influenced by social hierarchical structures. Therefore, this research contributes to the development of pedagogical communication in Arabic language learning, particularly in designing adaptive and socially sensitive communication strategies to reduce language anxiety.
Muhammad Hizqil WaffaDhimas Ilham WillianAwaluddin Rabbany

https://syaikhuna.iaisyaichona.ac.id/index.php/syaikhuna/article/view/7708

This study examines the rhetorical functions of muhassinat lafziyyah within the framework of 'ilm al-badi in the Qur’an and Hadith, focusing on how phonetic features construct meaning and reinforce spiritual messages. While traditionally viewed as mere ornamentation, this research explores their functional role beyond linguistic embellishment. Employing a qualitative descriptive-analytical method with a balaghi approach, the study analyzes selected eschatological verses and Hadith texts containing saja (rhyme), jinas (paronomasia), and iqtibas (intertextual quotation). The findings reveal that these devices function as powerful rhetorical tools that strengthen semantic depth, intensify emotional resonance, and facilitate memorization. For instance, saja in Hadith creates rhythmic harmony that reinforces moral emphasis, while jinis in Ar-Rum (55) and Al-Qiyamah (29–30) generates layered meanings and ironic contrasts regarding worldly transience. This study demonstrates that sound patterns (lafz) are inseparable from meaning (ma'na), playing a crucial role in conveying theological and ethical values. Consequently, understanding these rhetorical functions contributes to a more comprehensive appreciation of the spiritual depth in Islamic discourse.
Azzahra Emira SudrajatRaswan Raswan

https://syaikhuna.iaisyaichona.ac.id/index.php/syaikhuna/article/view/7868

This study examines the dialectic between Banjar local wisdom and Arabic language pedagogy in Islamic Elementary Schools (MI) through the lens of Nusantara Islam. It addresses the critical tension between text-centric formal curricula and the sociocultural realities of students. Utilizing a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) and Comparative Meta-Synthesis, the research identifies that conventional, formalistic approaches often result in low student engagement and cultural detachment. Findings demonstrate that integrating Banjar values—such as papadah, pantun, and gotong royong—transforms Arabic instruction into a communicative, humanistic, and relevant process. The study culminates in the "Transformational Dialectical Conceptual Model," positioning local wisdom not merely as a teaching aid but as an epistemic foundation for pedagogy. This model redefines Arabic learning as a medium for character formation and cultural identity reinforcement. These results offer a strategic framework for developing localized curricula and contextual teacher competencies, providing a new direction for Indonesian basic Islamic education.
Mahmudah MahmudahMuhammad Adli Nurul IhsanHanna Nova Astuty
